A Giggles Welfare Organization against gender discrimination and towards empowering women

For the development and advancement of any society women play a key role, the fact is that the status and work contribution by women in an indicator of nation’s overall advancement and progress. A Giggles Welfare Organization is an organization that works solely for the protection of women rights. Although women are entitled to equal rights as men but unlike men, women have to fight for their basic human rights in our society and in many cases they are not even aware what their rights are. A Giggles Welfare Organization is working towards providing women with economic opportunities, better education facilities, equipping them with more skills and providing them with legal support.

Ø  Providing women with better economic opportunities:

To improve the social status of women and empower them it is important that we as a society create more economic opportunities. The history of the world has witnessed that women can achieve great heights, they are capable of doing anything they set their mind to. But in our society women are still considered inferior and are deprived of basic human rights.

Ø  Providing education to girl children:

In deprived and underprivileged communities there is no importance given to educating the girl child education, and often families are resistant to let their daughter go to school, our organization provides the necessary guidance and social as well as monetary support to help educate the female children of community.

Ø  Providing awareness regarding women’s marital and legal rights:

One of the major issues the women of our society face is that they have often very little or no knowledge of their marital and legal rights. Women are raised with the mindset that they are inferior to men and are powerless. A Giggles Welfare Organization is striving to provide the necessary legal aid to the women in crisis, and provides them with better options and opportunities to deal with their problems.

Ø  Improving health facilities provided to women and ensuring their well being:

It is a known fact that a woman’s health and well being is vital for a healthier society. A woman is also a mother, ensuring her mental and physical well being would result in a healthier new born and society as a whole. A Giggles Welfare Organization is providing better health care to women nationwide.

Ø  Promoting gender equality:

In our part of the world women are still subjected to prejudice and discrimination, they are considered a weaker sex and are treated as inferior to men. This mindset and social behavior is hard to change and combat, the only solution to problem is education. Our organization is working towards educating families and providing awareness through various programs in order to promote gender equality and reduce discrimination and violence against women.

Ø  Providing access to family planning and reproductive health:

Mostly for underprivileged families and women it is hard to access basic healthcare and they are not aware of the importance of reproductive health as well as benefits of family planning. A Giggles Welfare Organization aims to provide access to these facilities.
